Ensure That Filter is Seated Correctly

If the filter light is still blinking, open the door and check if filter is seated properly. Poor seating may cause poor water flow. Make sure the filter is fully inserted into the unit and that both sides of the filter are correctly inserted into the guide rails.

Ensure That Filter is Correctly Installed

The light notification on Samsung refrigerators may not clear if you’ve installed a filter that isn’t genuine, and this means that it has to be removed and replaced.

I changed the water filter the same way I always did in the past. I poured out a gallon of water. I held the button of the filter for 4 secons on the front of the refrigerator but the red light will not go out. Now the water does not come out when I try to get a glass of water. I never had this problem before. I have had this refrigerator for 5 years now and unfortunely I cannot locate the manual.
