6. Defrost Thermostat is not working
Defrost Thermostat helps in controlling the power to the heater.
If the thermostat fails, then the heater will not get the power, and it will not heat up. So the evaporator coils can get frosted over.
Use a multimeter and test the thermostat. You should replace the defective part.
7. Main Control Board is faulty
If the main control board is faulty, then the fridge will not work. However, in most cases, the main control board is not faulty. So, you should check other critical components of the refrigerator before replacing the main control board.
