How to Reset Maytag Dishwasher

It’s not too difficult to find instructions online on how to reset your dishwasher – they’re all over the place!

If you have an older Maytag model, sometimes it might require opening up the door and turning off a switch or two in order for it to work properly again.

Other times, there are just buttons on the top near where you load dishes that need pressing. No matter what type of dishwasher you have, always consult your manual first because each one is different.

NOTE:  If your dishwasher does not appear to be running, or has no lights, then please verify that the Control Lock has not been activated. If the Control Lock is set, the buttons will not operate at all, and a red “Padlock” may be illuminated. So ensure that you disable the Control lock before going for a reset.
